Many of us have high hopes for the future, but when we look to the past we know that things don’t always happen according to plan.
This experiment asks everyday people about what significant events they expect in their future and what significant events they have experienced in the past, using their answers to create an interactive visual display of the past, and the possible future.
What does this show us? Life can be uncertain and things happen – both good and bad – that we do not expect. Whilst working towards our desired goals, it is important to prepare for the unexpected. These people tell us about the events that have happened in their lives. Can you relate?
